This has been such a well liked pain cure that we can find a lot of articles in publications and on television. In this article we search deeper to find out if magnets are truly a pain remedy, and how they work.
Though we have understood about them for a few short years the use of magnets as a pain remedy, goes from ancient Greece. People were utilizing this remedy at that time in the same way, with many good results. So much so, people believe in such faith in magnetic cures that they now make up a $5 billion dollar industry.
For many people, the only reason that they will believe in something such as this is if it is scientifically proven, however in some cases that it not possible. Although many studies have looked at this process most have been inconclusive as to if they are a real remedy for pain.
The University of Virginia Study
However a study at the University of Virginia did conclude that magnets help increase blood flow and so deliver more Oxygen to damaged tissue.
Researchers realized that by only employing a small magnetic field, they could increase the flow of blood — in rates anyway. Researchers are planning to start human tests soon.
Magnets and Inflammation
In many cases people say that magnetic treatments reduce swelling and inflammation in joints and other tissue. If this is so then people can recover from injury faster. This is one of the premises of the Virginia studybecause they want to be able to show that this could help athletes and conditions that are prone to swelling. And people who use them,have seen a reduction in their legs hands or joints when they have arthritis.
